This is the box you're surfing here...

Black things
on my wall
(No, that's not a novel by H.P Lovecraft)

It has no display and no keyboard. And half it's screws are gone. But never mind. It hasn't lost it's chips yet.

It's still man enough for serving these webpages, right from the wall in my living-room.

As you see on the picture on the right, the upper black box is the webserver, you are currently surfing on.

The blue box underneath is a dsl-modem/router - it connects the server over an ADSL-connection to the web.

The server is an old Compaq Contura Aero Laptop-Computer, a 486SX 25 Mhz with 20 MB RAM and currently a 40 GB Fujitsu harddisk. A computer, released 1993. Now screwed to my wall.

"You've never heard of the aero? It's the laptop that made the kessel run in less than 16.53 bogomips...

Fast enough for you old man"
