Compaq Contura Aero computers as shipped will only enter hibernation when the battery charge is almost depleted. There is no user initiated method to cause hibernation to occur.  STBY_HIB allows the user to choose the normal action of standby or to cause the computer to enter hibernation instead of standby.

Note: On the picture above you see an example, what you can use this softpaq for.
